About Us

Broadcasting Since 1962

Channel Television was founded in 1962 and is one of the 15 regional licensees that make up the ITV Network. It is the smallest ITV regional company, and remains independent, broadcasting to 150,000 people in 58,000 homes across the Channel Islands.

Privately Owned

Channel Television’s parent company is Channel Television Holdings. The majority shareholder is the Yattendon Investment Trust, chaired by Lord Iliffe. Four of the executive directors hold the remaining shares. Channel Television Holdings owns Channel Television Limited which in turn owns the commercial and corporate producer Creative Channel.

The Regulator

Channel Television is regulated by Ofcom (Office of Communications) and produces, on average, 5 hours and 38 minutes of regional programming every week. Our flagship news magazine Channel Report is broadcast each weekday night at 6pm.
