Ross Kneller hit a quickfire 86 off just 64 balls to rescue Guernsey's faultering innings in the ICC World Cricket League Five.
Put in to bat by Argentina, Guernsey were struggling at 53 for 4 after fewer than 14 overs when Kneller came to the crease to save the day.
With support from Stuart Le Prevost and Ben Ferbrache, Guernsey reached 213 for 7 off 42 overs.
In a rain-affected response, Argentina fell short of a Duckworth-Lewis target of 163 off 29 overs, ending with 133 for 9.
Next game for Guernsey is a crucial re-match with Malaysia, the side they beat to win the League Six title last year.
