Guernsey Rugby Club are close to promotion after a vital 31-19 bonus point away win against Basingstoke.
Guernsey went into an early lead through a Nick Barton try which was converted by Sayer, but Basingstoke replied strongly to take the lead 11-7 at half-time.
Luke Sayer brought the score to 10-11 with an early second half penalty and Malcolm Barnes went over the line to make it 15-11, but there was no conversion.
Sayer extended the lead to 18-11 with another penalty kick and Stoke got themselves one too to make it 18-14.
Cameron Craine scored a try before Basingstoke replied with a try to make the score 23-19.
Barnes got the bonus point try for Guernsey and another penalty from Sayer made the final score 31-19.
