With the Muratti Vase in the bag, a National Title and a European Championship on the way in September, there's rarely been a better time to be associated with football in Guernsey.
But the Guernsey Football Association is always thinking to the future and that's why the BWCI Soccer Festival has been put in place for youngsters to develop as players.
Top teams from the UK came over to take part in the competition. Last year's champions Fulham made the trip over alongside fellow premiership side Everton. The SPLs Glasgow Rangers also had their eye on the trophy. The standard of the UK sides were excellent and each academy expects at least one Premier League player to be produced from their groups.
Most of Guernsey's clubs were on show, including the likes of St Martins and Vale Rec. Jersey also had a good contingent of youngsters over, including teams from Rozel Rovers, Trinity, St Clement and St Pauls. The tournament has been going on for several years and the GFA says it's helping to develop the players.
But it's not just the local teams that benefit from the tournament. Coaches from the Premier League clubs say it helps their players too. Coach Ian Laverly said: "For our boys it's a chance to play competetive football. Because the academy system in England doesn't allow competetive football under the age of 18.
So it installs a change of environment for them. We also get to see how the boys cope away from their parents. For some of them it will be the first time they've been away with the club, hopefully it won't be the last but we learn a lot about the boys when we take them away."
The tournament was another huge success and organisers are already preparing for next year.
