With five wins out of five, Jersey are the ICC European Division 1 champions. And just across the water in Division 2, Guernsey have also been undeafeated, winning their tournament in style.
Jersey saw off Italy in their final match, having already beaten Denmark, Scotland, Ireland and the Netherlands.
Jersey captain Peter Gough said: "As a side over the week I think we've bowled and fielded the best I've ever seen us bowl and field over the last four or five years. Some of the performances have been fantastic. I wouldn't want to name any, all the bowlers have been fantastic so the bowling performance has been superb.
The fielding's been unbelievable which has been such a massive part for us. The fielding this week and the batting, we've had not massive individual performances but when we've been under pressure the boys have put good partnerships in. It's been great."
For Guernsey, a win against Norway secured their first ever international title. They'd already had victories over France, Germany, Gibraltar and Israel. Stuart Le Prevost, Guernsey's captain said:
"We set our stall out at the start of the week to win every game. We've done that now. Today's game was just, hopefully win the toss which we did, bat first and put a decent total on. To be honest, we weren't that happy with our total from the position we were in but as it happens it was good enough today so yes, the boys did really well."
In terms of what the victory means for Guernsey, that's still not clear. Even though they topped Division 2 it doesn't mean they'll be joining Jersey in Division 1 next time.
Chairman of the Guernsey Cricket Board Dave Piesing said:
"Since Guernsey and Jersey came into the structure it's been harder to sort of slot us in at the right level. We've now sort of found a level but the whole structure is being reviewed over the next couple of months to encompass 20-20. There's going to be more European regional tournaments for that. So it's not as straight forward as promotion and relegation but we'll have the right formats going forward I'm sure."
But for now the island cricketers aren't worrying about what changes in the international system will mean for them, instead both Guernsey and Jersey are taking a little time to enjoy their success.
