It has been confirmed that Gotland will host the 2017 Island Games.

The announcement was made in Bermuda where the International Island Games Committee are holding their AGM ahead of next year's games there.

They have been taking a look at Bermuda's impressive sporting facilities - some of the best Island Games competitors will ever have experienced.

Jersey fought off competition from Gotland to host the 2015 games.

The 2019 Island Games may be in the Faroe Islands and Menorca may host the 2021 games. Currently there are no other bidders.
