Students at Haute Vallee School, who won a Crimestoppers' campaign about drug awareness, were presented with their prizes in a special assembly. They received certificates from Peter Cropper, the Chair of Jersey Crimestoppers as well as a cheque for the school from Andy Norton of Natwest.
Since beating over a hundred other youngsters with their idea presentation in December, the year ten pupils have shot and produced a thirty second public information film to be broadcast on Channel Television.
The topic for the film was the possible consequences of having a drug conviction. The winners chose to focus on the effect that a conviction can have on employment opportunities, and were praised on their subtle but powerful approach to the project.
