Progress on the design of Guernsey's waste facility is being revealed at an exhibition this weekend.
The States voted to approve an energy from waste plant in July which will be built at Longue Hougue.
Since then work has been taking place to draw up a planning application for the new plant and details of this will be shown to the public for the first time at the exhibition.
The event will also cover other aspects of how Guernsey deals with rubbish, such as recycling and waste reduction.
Figures published earlier this week show the amount of waste recycled by islanders is predicted to be higher this year than last.
The exhibition runs from 3pm-7pm Friday 27th November and 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday 28th and 29th November at La Trelade Hotel.

I doubt very much if they will take any notice of the alternative waste plant, [the better one ] once they have something in there tiny minds, you /me /us, will not shift them,.. they will have to stop and think, [if they can ] of who put them there, and for what , I will like to remind them, to look after us, THE public, AND NOT yourselves
