Garden fence dispute
A cautionary tale if you live in a registered property in Jersey.
The owner of a small cottage in Trinity didn't think he was doing anything wrong when he put up a garden fence.
But even though it was no more than six feet tall he did, infact, need planning consent because his home, Saval, is registered as a property of local interest.
He's been instructed by planning to remove half of the fence, but local Deputy Bob Hill thinks that's unreasonable and the issue is going to a Complaints Board sitting in Trinity Parish Hall.
