Cash machine alert

There's a fresh warning in Jersey to be on guard when using cash machines.

Criminal gangs across the UK routinely fix devices to ATM machines which capture bank card details and pin codes.

Anyone suspicious about the look of a cash machine is asked to call the bank immediately.

Police say there are no suggestions that scanning devices have been fitted to machines locally.

Surely it is the Banks responsibility to safeguard their ATM's - their extortionate bank charges would easily cover any claims!

Really.. Report Abuse

Why do you think they have issued this warning. I know of three people scammed this way when the ATM at Charing Cross had such a device fitted last year. Take care Jersey is a soft target.
