Flybe plane grounded after accident

A flight from Jersey was cancelled tonight following what is described as a minor accident.

It is believed lift equipment came into contact with a door on a Flybe plane which was sitting on the tarmac for servicing.

Engineers will now have to be flown in to check for damage.

The plane was due to take off for Exeter. Some passengers were transferred to the Southampton service and others have been put up at a hotel for the night.
