It may still be November but St Helier is now a wash with a Christmas glow.
The switching on of the St Helier Christmas lights marks the official start of this years La Fete de Noue celebrations.
Over the next few weeks shoppers and visitors alike will be able to soak up the festive atmosphere with parade, carol singers and markets and not forgetting the spectacular Christmas Battle of Flowers.
Ex-Eastender Jessie Wallace, well known for playing Kat Slater, and Brian Capron who played Richard Hillman in Coronation Street who are currently performing in Stepping Out at the Opera House were on hand in the Royal Square to do this years official switching on honours, as 100's gathered to watch the blanket of light appear over St Helier.
With plenty of activities going on throughout this years Fete de Noue celebration, there's no better way to get in the Christmas Spirit.
