An internationally recognised art organisation could be visiting Sark next spring.
The Artists for Nature Foundation is a non-profit charity dedicated to raising awareness and appreciation of wildlife and nature landscapes through art.
2011 will be their twentieth anniversary - and they're hoping to celebrate it with a project entitled 'The Art of Conservation on the Island of Sark'.
The ANF has an international network of 130 artists from 26 countries, and aims to highlight some of the world's most precious and threatened places with their work.
Artists for Nature's founder and Director Ysbrand Brouwers has already visited the island to produce a promotional video for the project.
The first of a few visits to the island by the fourteen artists picked for the Sark project is scheduled to be from 4th May to 16th May next year. The artists will work with the local community and school children by way of workshops and master classes.
The organisers say they're looking for sponsorship from local companies to realise the project, which will benefit the whole community.
