Seneschals dual role could end

The dual role of Sark's law officer - the Seneschal - is likely to end.

The General Purposes and Advisory Committee believe the jobs of lay magistrate and president of government should be separated .

But the committee warns that won't be cheap and that islanders will have to pay more tax.

Brecqhou residents Sir David and Sir Frederick Barclay have been pressing for the change.
