Fuel prices on the Channel Islands are set to rise.

The cost of a litre of petrol could go up to as much as 1.20 over the coming months.

Increasing costs of Crude Oil and a decline in the pound against the dollar - the currency in which oil is priced - have forced pump prices to their highest ever levels since 1980.

Currently the average price of fuel in island stands just over the pound per litre and Jersey's consumer council are fighting to combat the price rises.

What do you think? Are you angry fuel prices could rise? Do you think the States should be doing more to help motorists pay for petrol?
