Guernsey tennis star Heather Watson is through to the next round of the Women's Open in Clearwater Florida.

She was defeated in the qualifiers but was given a 'lucky loser' place in the main draw of the $25,000 tournament.

Watson then went on to beat Georgia's Anna Tatishvili six seven, six one, six two.
