Guernsey's States could be making it third time lucky with yet another vote on the Suez waste plant.
Ten days ago they decided by a margin of just one vote to scrap the plan for a £93 million plant at Longue Hougue.
Now Public Services member Tony Spruce wants a re-match because some States members abstained from February's vote.

How long has the current tip got?
How long has Ronez got left of Stone?
What is Jerseys Costs?
What is the price of pay as you throw?
What exactley will Rodney Brouard do we need to see it?
Why waste 93m on Suez when we need better Education Buildings, Sea wall could be improved, Car parking in town and the funds are low as it is?
Finaly do the public have a say or do they just keep going till they get what they want?

This is atrocious. I fell rejected by the states as a islander and don't have any will to live in Guernsey anymore it is a sad day to be annoying local people like this there is no debate the states know what they want really and do not care about local peoples ideas. One day they will get there millionaire paradise that will pay for all this when they drive us all out.
WE ARE UNDER DICTATORSHIP.
IF YOU WANT A PROTEST LETS HAVE ONE.

This is typical behaviour of States departments when things don't go their way.
Just keep bringing it back till they get the result they want.
Pretty much what they are going to do with paid parking in town, mark my words.
These States members activity and knowingly abstained.
By bringing this back Mr. Spruce is basically telling these members to vote one way or the other in hope of swing vote in his favour.
The people have spoken loud and clear, the majority do not want this monster of a waste plant.
So stop wasting time and go back and find a better solution that the public can get behind.

What will happen if this gets through by 1 or 2 votes?
Will Spruce disown his own requete?
We could slip in to a recurring nightmare of perpetual requets.

OK, so after this vote do we have to go to the best of five?
Why don`t you PEOPLE`S REPRESENTATIVES listen to THE PEOPLE?
Everyone knows there are now MUCH CHEAPER alternatives and, just like spoilt kids, cheap isn`t an option, it has to be designer or nothing, and you won`t stop playing up until you get your way.
This only goes to show that any decisions on public matters should be made in the open and not behind closed doors. Why were the doors closed to the people when the procedures were questioned? It was not a court case it was a debate on waste so why the secrecy? If you ask me it stinks, and I don`t mean the waste, I mean this unhealthy liason with SUEZ and certain members of The States of Guernsey.
Swallow the pill and realise that the recession has not magically gone away and Guernsey CANNOT AFFORD to by designer solutions. STOP BEING SPOILT BRATS AND GROW UP.
I am too old to care about how long the Earth will last or what space is left for our rubbish, but I do care about the integrity and maturity of the people who are SUPPOSED to be representing the most efficient and best value for money decisions for The Bailiwick and it`s residents.
You lost the vote on the waste strategy so be adult accept and respect the wishes of the people.
