Alice Humphry has been following the waste debate

The fate of a multi-million pound solution to Guernsey's waste problem hangs in the balance.

But since then an energetic campaign against the plant has sprung up.

Now the whole scheme has come back to the States for discussion once again.

Suez? Wrong phoney technology Report Abuse
Posted By: Rob Whittle on 27-Feb-2010
Suez? Good riddance to bad rubbish! Incinerators aren't sustainable! Why didn't they propose an Anaerobic Digestion/energy element for food waste? Why didn't they propose a residual screening element for non food waste. Why aren't they serious about developing futuristic vantage or plasma gasification/CHP/fuel gases element long term? They come with the "wrong technology", talk it up as EfW/CHP. Its rubbish. Come back with better technology and practices if you are serious!!
