Tree of Joy shines again

It's reckoned to be Guernsey's Winter icon - the giant illuminated image of a Christmas tree on the Weighbridge Roundabout is now beckoning the big day.

It's the fifth year that the Tree of Joy has been lit as part of the Rotary Club's annual appeal to give Christmas presents to deserving children in the island.

Those wishing to give can get joy tags from local businesses, and give them, along with their gifts to Rotary by mid-December.

We spoke to the Roray Club's James Barker.

Xmas Tree Report Abuse
Posted By: Peewee on 02-Dec-2009
Could there not have been film of the whole tree rather than us just seeing a portion of it behind the interviewee. I despair at times at CTV's output & this is omission really adds to that despair. I watch BBC local news most days I am afraid.
