The Channel Islands Cooperative Society and Channel Television thought it would be an excellent idea to generate much greater awareness of Fairtrade Fortnight (last week of February and first week of March). Schools in Jersey and Guernsey were challenged to create a storyboard for a TV commercial, and then present it to a panel of judges from both companies. The winning storyboard, entered by students at Le Rocquier School, was then made into a 30 second commercial. It's airing on Channel Television from Monday 22nd February and then throughout the year to promote Fairtrade produce.
