Brilliant Allen decides Muratti

A stunning strike from Ross Allen helped Guernsey retain the Muratti Vase for the first time since 1992 as they beat Jersey 2-1 at the Track.

Allen's wonder goal doubled the Sarnians' lead after an early goal from Craig Young. Midfielder Jack Boyle scored for Jersey, but they've now lost three of the last four finals.

The hosts, who named a side full of players that helped Guernsey FC to a second successive promotion, were hot favourites and they made the perfect start.
